Funded through money raised by Lismore’s “Friends of the Koala” group, this animal hospital is dedicated to caring for sick, injured or orphaned Koalas in the Lismore region. Open on Saturdays for a ˝ hour guided tour at 9.30am. Entry by donation.

Situated 3 km north-east of the Lismore Visitor Information Centre along the New Ballina Cutting, this lookout offers a fine view of Lismore City.

This was the cemetery for the early village of Lismore and thus the resting place of most of the original pioneers. The area was opened as a memorial park in 1971 with all recoverable headstones being relocated to the present site. The names of all others who were interred are recorded on plaques and set in a brick cairn facing the roadway.

An extensive new recreational area has recently been created along the Wilsons River in the heart of Lismore and includes equipment such as free electric barbeques and shelters. Even the family dog is catered for, with an off-leash dog run provided.
